Lindsay Morris, Owner and Center Director

Rain River Learning is the brain-child of Lindsay Morris, a mother, educator, and counselor who saw a need for a center that addresses the holistic needs of families. Lindsay serves as Director and a VPK teacher at Rain River Learning. Lindsay holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida in Sociology (2005), a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Webster University (Jacksonville, 2010), the Florida Teaching Certificate since 2012. She also has a Specialist in Educational Leadership degree from Liberty University.
Lindsay is passionate about her work and practices what she preaches and is a life-long learner herself. She is committed to being knowledgeable in her field and up-to-date on new educational strategies and developments. Lindsay is passionate about providing a strong educational foundation, and believes it is essential that all areas of need are met to create an optimal learning environment. This belief is rooted, not only in the knowledge Lindsay has acquired from her own educational endeavors, but also in the wisdom she has gained through her professional career. Lindsay has served in many professional roles that have equipped her with the necessary skills and insight needed to provide excellent childcare and educational opportunities.
In the past, Lindsay has served as a Residential Therapist providing counseling services to children and their families. Also, Lindsay has worked as an elementary, middle, and high school Guidance Counselor and Elementary School Teacher in both the private and public school sectors. In these roles she was able to remove barriers and obstacles, both real and perceived, to open the way for students to reach their maximum abilities and flourish academically, emotionally, and socially.
As a wife and mother of two young girls, Lindsay knows and understands the challenges of the parent’s role and all the responsibilities. Lindsay?s ultimate goal is to provide an all-inclusive service to parents, so they can focus on family time and making lasting memories!

Jude Dobbing – Dew Drops Teacher

Jude Dobbing is a dedicated educator with more than 25 years in the field. She has worked with children of various ages over the years, and has maintained a special focus on socialization and basic life skills. These are two areas in which all children need to grow and thrive!
In her private life, Jude is an animal lover who enjoys spending time with her husband and three dogs. She likes to stay physically and mentally active, engaging in activities such as walking, running, puzzle piecing, and crocheting.

Brooklyn Diver – Drizzles Teacher

Brooklyn Diver is a Cambridge AICE diploma holder with extensive experience in a highly competitive, child-focused retail environment. She is part of a large, loving family, that includes 4 younger siblings, and many younger cousins.
Brooklyn is currently working toward her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida. She is certain that her determination and love of learning will benefit all of the children in her care.

Samantha Stewart – Sprinkles Teacher

Samantha Stewart is an aspiring neonatologist with an adventurous spirit! She has traveled the world in the course of her studies, and has an affinity for theme parks like Universal Studios and Disney World! She also loves animals, and has two spoiled dogs, Georgia and Lily.
Samantha has worked with the public for six and a half years, and has learned to handle challenging situations and to diffuse tensions with diplomacy and tact. She is confident that her experience will bring a well-balanced pairing of leadership and adventure to all of the children with whom she works, and she looks forward to teaching your child with creativity and imagination!

Haley Dexter – Teacher’s Assistant

Haley Dexter is a 2020 graduate from Palatka High School who has spent many hours working as a teachers’ assistant at Mellon Elementary. She also has held countless situations child-minding for friends and family. These experiences, coupled with her time working with children at the elementary level, have inspired her to pursue a career in childcare.

Madison Carberry – Teacher’s Assistant

Madison Carberry is a 2020 graduate who is currently enrolled at St. Johns River State College. Madison, affectionately known as Maddie, has over 100 volunteer hours at Wards Creek Elementary School, working primarily with pre-kindergarten and special education classes.
Maddie is patient and safety conscious and has a positive, caring personality. She also has a firm grip on the basics of American Sign Language, and looks forward to sharing this knowledge with the students at Rain River Learning Center.

Cayla Hutchinson is a 2019 graduate from Palatka High School and is working on her Associates Degree at St. Johns River State College. She has nearly six years of experience working with children of all ages, and is actively pursuing professional and personal enrichment opportunities. Her energetic, outgoing presence helps her engage students in an active and enthusiastic way, and will keep children feeling comfortable and happy.
